Festival Performances

Renaissance Faires and Community Festivals are our primary venue.  We bring a view of 16th Century life to these events with a hands on, interactive presentation.  Some of the venues we have been a part of:

School Shows

Our group was founded with the goal of educating through entertainment.  We also believe that to understand the past, one must be able to touch, see, and smell (well okay maybe not smell) what that past was really like. Two of our charter members, who are also educators, were looking to incorporate what they did during the summer into their classrooms to help their students understand the history they taught. Our school show presentations were born out of that desire to give kids (and adults!) the opportunity to experience history through direct contact. Instead of just reading about clothing, we allow students to try on clothing for different classes of society. We not only discuss the medical practices of the late medieval and early modern period of European history, but also delight in showing students the medical instruments used. Of course, as our group is based on a martial history, we definitely show and discuss armour and weapons, and allow as much hands on contact as is possible.
